The Mozilla Foundation is planning on bringing Firefox, a popular open-source web browser, to Windows 11 through the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft had previously disallowed the inclusion of web browsers other than Microsoft Edge in its Store, but the new relaxation of Microsoft Store standards will enable third-party web browsers to be added one by one.
Web browsers, especially Opera and Firefox, are already available through the Microsoft Store, but Google does not appear to have placed any of its apps, including Chrome, in the Microsoft Store.
However, previously, you had to go through a few steps to install Firefox on Windows, but now anybody can get it from the Microsoft Store.
The Firefox version available through the Microsoft Store is similar to the Firefox version available through the Internet, although not all updates are available through the Microsoft Store. Only the stable version is still downloadable. You'll have had to download and install the previews online if you want them.
Although the desktop version of Mozilla Firefox is now available, the Mozilla Foundation's one-click option to designate Mozilla Firefox your default browser is not available in this version available through the Windows Store, according to reports.
