How to Participate in the Twitter Beta and Alpha Release Tracks on Android

Twitter is, without a doubt, one of the most popular social networks. We're here to talk about its Android app, which has a beta and alpha testing program.

Apart from Stable, the Twitter app had two different release tracks: Alpha and Beta.

The beta release track is no longer open to public opt-ins, but the Alpha release track is. You can gain access to early-stage features by switching to the Alpha release track.

To become a member of Twitter Alpha:

  1. Join Twitter's Alpha experimental Google Group.
  2. Open a beta opt-in page on Google Play and click the "Become a tester" button (if you haven't already joined the Alpha group, this page won't be available).
  3. Update or reinstall the Twitter app from Google Play.

Twitter alpha builds are being uploaded to APKMirror.com and are completely safe. You can get them from this link, and if you want to be notified if there is an update, you can also enable Pushbullet notifications. Be aware that these builds may misbehave or have broken features, so proceed with caution.
